As an Atlanta-based photographer, I am drawn towards photographing the people in my community. I have found it most rewarding to photograph individuals in their familiar environments and to record their stories. Although I may have an exchange with the person I am photographing I do not pose my subjects. I strive to capture unguarded moments that are fleeting and spontaneous. Because Atlanta supports a diverse community, a wide variety of events and festivals take place throughout the year. It is at these celebrations, where people are out and about that I often find the subjects that I photograph.
